Los Angeles Fall/Winter Fashion Week 2012 to be Energized, Canonized and Spiritualized by the Daringly Novel Spirit Fashion L.A. Web/TV Series

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 03, 2012

Spirit Fashion L.A. is currently airing on KCTV Los Angeles Monday-Friday at 10:30 p.m. KCTV has over 750,000 viewers through Channel 3 in Glendale, Burbank, Montrose, La Canada and La Crescenta & Channel 31 in all other Los Angeles Charter TV Areas. Fashion is a global multi-million dollar industry that has captured the world since the emergence of the sumptuous “New Look” style during the 1950s when fashion became more popularized by Hollywood mavens such as Betty Grable, Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe. Fashion profoundly affects the ways we think, feel and react in society, where we use clothes to identify ourselves and communicate messages as to who we are. Yet for decades, Western society has been obsessed with body image as fashion has blatantly augmented the matrix of outer beauty. But that is about to change. At this year’s Los Angeles Fashion Week 2012, the landmark Spirit Fashion L.A. Web/TV series rocked the fashion world and revealed that the art of fashion reflects way beyond the physical…it’s a way to learn about the inner self, a channel to make our spirits shine through, and a road to get in touch with our inner beauty.

It’s even more prevalent today that celebrities determine the latest fashion trends. Thus what better place is there on the planet to show the influence of this spirit than in the entertainment capital of the world, where the glamor drama of Hollywood is uniquely intertwined with Tinseltown’s anything goes fashion attitude.

Spirit Fashion is a five part Web/TV Series that features a non-scripted interview style format that is about exploring the art of who we are through the art of fashion. Co-hosted by Nia Lyte and Claudia Hallowell, it will include open interviews with designers, models, stylists, celebrities and an unconvential non-profit foundation that specializes in forging fashion shows to raise disaster relief funds for victims of natural disasters.

Major fashion designers headlined include Alexis Bellino, Boditecture, Brian Lichtenberg, Cerre, Curly V, Erik Hart/Factory, Henry Duarte, Laili Lau, Lizzie Pomcer, Micha Design, Mike Vensel, Nami, Nuvula, Octavio Carlin, Project Ethos, Rodarte (Muleavy Sisters), Romeo + Juliet Couture, SG, Sue Wong, Sueko Oshimoto, Thai Nguyen and Ximena Valero.

Their words and actions are the foundation for exploring the expressions that bare the essence of their styles and lives. Furthermore, Spirit Fashion will unveil how the souls of these L.A. fashion-scene artists who create the clothes that set worldwide trends, can use their fashion sensibilites to empower individuals to look toward their inner light and beauty, and inspire one’s strength to save the spirit of Earth.

Produced by Nia Lyte and Shinca Entertainment in association with Co-Creator Claudia Hallowell Entertainment, with Hollywood/Japanese celebrity Shin Koyamada serving as executive producer, the Spirit Fashion L.A. show is the debut production of the avant-garde Spirit Show Network, the first internet network dedicated to empowering people who live a creative life in L.A.

Following the success of Lyte’s Best of Art Basel TV show that was distributed on Comcast, Ovation TV and Xfinity TV to over 20 million viewers, slated for a September 2012 release, the Spirit Fashion L.A. will be distributed on multiple platforms: KCTV Los Angeles, Charter cable channels, and on the Web at http://www.spiritshow.tv.

Husted Kicking Will Hold a National Camp Series (NCS) Evaluation Event for High School Kickers, Punters and Snappers in San Diego, CA, on October 21, 2012

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 15, 2012

Husted Kicking will hold a National Camp Series (NCS) evaluation event for high school kickers, punters and snappers in San Diego, CA, on October 21, 2012 according to kicking coach and Camp Director Michael Husted.

Go here for more information about the Husted Kicking NCS evaluation event.

Husted is a retired 9 Year NFL Kicker.

His consistency on field goals and power on kick offs won him the job as an undrafted rookie. Michael went on to have a successful rookie season where he was named to Football Digests All Rookie team.

During his time with the Tampa Bay Bucs, Husted established several records including:

All-time leading scorer (502 pts.)

Longest field goal (57 yards)

Most 50+ field goals (10)

After his NFL career, Michael was involved in an online start up, iPlayers.net in 2005. This innovated site at the time took high school recruiting from snail mail to the internet.

In 2007, the company was acquired by the Active Network in San Diego, CA. After working in the corporate world for a couple of years, Michael realized that one of his passions was helping athletes to leverage their sport for a college education.

Since that time, Michael founded the National Camp Series. This platform objectively measures kickers, punters and long snappers through statistics which takes out all subjectivity in the evaluation process.

“2012 has shaped up to be the best year yet for the National Camp Series, says Husted. After a strong 2011, and having introduced our Kicking IndeX (KIX) Player Rating System, we are positioned extremely well to leverage analytics to showcase our athletes, and to provide objective high school kicking specialists statistics’ to college and university coaches.

Husted says that by utilizing its Kicking IndeX (KIX) Player Rating System, NCS provides an objective evaluation platform for student-athletes who want to showcase their capabilities to colleges and universities for recruiting purposes.

By sorting through over six years of historical event data, the KIX system determines a kickers rankings by cross-referencing player data to determine how the athletes stack up against others, both presently and historically.

“The NCS levels the playing field for those who don’t want to get caught up in all of the ‘politics’ that occurs in the kicking industry, says Husted. If you can kick, punt or snap, the NCS KIX system will let a young kicking specialists skills speak for themselves. No excuses. No explanations.”

Husted adds the NCS is not just about player rankings, but quality coaching as well.

NCS Associates are some of the best kicking coaches in the country, says Husted. NCS coaches provide the highest quality instruction to high school kicking specialists around the country.

Prolexic Publishes New Executive Series White Paper: DDoS Denial of Service Protection and the Cloud

Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) October 10, 2012

Prolexic, the global leader in Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection services, announced today that it has published a new white paper in its Executive Series entitled, “DDoS Denial of Service Protection and the Cloud.

While the advantages of the cloud in terms of time and cost savings are hard to resist, security in the cloud remains in question. One startling fact is that elementary security controls and features that have been used for decades to protect secure enterprise applications against DDoS attacks and other cyber threats are just starting to be introduced to cloud-based applications. Unprotected cloud-based applications and services are easy marks for DDoS denial of service attacks as well as other hacking activity.

So how can businesses still take advantage of the cloud and stay protected against DDoS denial of service attacks? And with DDoS mitigation services being delivered in the cloud, how can you be sure that your DDoS mitigation service provider can protect itself and you, their customer? To shed light on these critical questions, Prolexic has developed a new white paper about DDoS protection and network protection entitled, “DDoS Denial of Service Protection and the Cloud.

The paper explores how businesses can protect their cloud-based infrastructures and applications against a DDoS denial of service attack by using a cloud-based DDoS mitigation service. It will also offer guidance in how to evaluate cloud-based DDoS mitigation providers in terms of the strength and sophistication of their best practices around cloud security.

Cloud security, especially against distributed denial of service attacks, is improving, but is sadly lacking for many providers of cloud-based services, said Prolexic President Stuart Scholly. As the preeminent provider of cloud-based DDoS protection services, we wanted to share our knowledge and experience with the broader IT and security community to help them bolster their defenses against the increasing risk of Dos and DDoS attacks.
