Lately, it seems that the whole world is going mobile. If it’s not on an iPad, it’s not worth having. And yet people are still having to hire coders just to make an app.
yLIP is an application maker which offers non technical users the ability to make their own applications. No programming is needed, yet users can still create great looking, complex and sophisticated apps.
yLIP aims to be the easiest and quickest solution for people to create their own iPhone and iPad apps. It’s a Mac desktop application, with a drag and drop interface that lets the user add images, movies, text and sounds, and interact with them to create rich multimedia apps. yLIP can even generate an app from a PDF file in seconds.
And since yLIP is a desktop, not web, application, it means that apps with large media files can be created, tested and published locally without the need for uploading to online services.
“yLIP was created because we believe anybody should be able to create rich and engaging apps.” said Andy Griffiths, lead developer and Director of Rosebrae Technology. “Using yLIP this is now possible, for users with no technical knowledge. No programming required.”

yLIP is available on a subscription basis and a free trial is available.
yLIP is Mac software. Currently, users also require an Apple iOS developer or enterprise license to publish apps.
